Robert Half Contract Finance and Accounting is working with a reputable and growing company in the commercial real estate sector who is looking for a Property Accountant to join their dynamic team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives on organization, attention to detail, and delivering accurate financial reporting to support property management operations. <br> Key Responsibilities Full-cycle accounting for multiple properties within the commercial real estate portfolio. Prepare and manage monthly financial statements, including accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations. Complete CAM (Common Area Maintenance) reconciliations and assist in property budget preparation. Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and tenant billing accurately and on time. Analyze variances and provide detailed reporting to owners and stakeholders. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Collaborate with property managers and operations teams to address accounting inquiries and resolve discrepancies.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of experience in property accounting, preferably in commercial real estate. Proficiency in property management and accounting software (Yardi, MRI, or similar platforms preferred). Knowledge of CAM reconciliations and tenant billings. Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
