We are looking for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our healthcare team in Rancho Cordova, California. In this long-term contract position, you will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing insightful analysis to support decision-making. This role requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments. Responsibilities: • Prepare accurate and timely journal entries for monthly general ledger close, adhering to accounting principles and organizational procedures. • Conduct detailed balance sheet reconciliations and account analyses, applying advanced accounting knowledge. • Generate comprehensive financial reports using intermediate to advanced computer skills. • Collaborate with supervisors, managers, and directors to identify operational challenges and implement approved solutions. • Compile and present complex financial data for internal and external reporting purposes, including regulatory filings and audit documentation. • Manage the financial close process for assigned facilities, including accruals, variance analysis, communication with stakeholders, and final reporting. • Actively contribute to team efforts, fostering a cooperative environment to achieve organizational goals. • Identify and resolve operational inefficiencies, recommending improvements to enhance departmental processes. • Independently post routine journal entries, prioritize tasks to meet deadlines, and evaluate best practices for analytical reviews. • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, supporting their growth and development.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with healthcare or hospital experience strongly preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered. • Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and advanced accounting concepts. • Proficiency in personal computer applications, including intermediate to advanced Excel and general ledger software. • Demonstrated ability to work independently while maintaining proactive communication with supervisors. • High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on operational efficiency. • Ability to collaborate effectively and encourage team members to achieve shared objectives. • Willingness to occasionally travel to supported facilities during regular work hours.
