We are looking for a detail-oriented Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Porterville, California. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient banking operations while delivering excellent customer service. If you have a strong background in retail banking and cash handling, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute to a dynamic financial services environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process various banking transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, and payments, with accuracy and efficiency.<br>• Handle cash and ensure proper balancing of cash drawers at the end of each shift.<br>• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.<br>• Assist customers with account-related services, including opening, closing, and maintenance.<br>• Verify and reconcile financial data to maintain accurate records.<br>• Uphold compliance with banking regulations and company policies.<br>• Monitor and report suspicious activities to ensure security and fraud prevention.<br>• Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless daily operations within the branch.<br>• Educate customers about banking products and services to meet their financial needs.<br>• Support internal processes, including audits and reporting requirements.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in retail or branch banking.<br>• Proficiency in handling cash and balancing cash drawers.<br>• Strong understanding of banking operations and financial transactions.<br>• Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.<br>• Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance standards.<br>• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.<br>• Familiarity with banking software and systems is preferred.
