We are looking for an experienced Eligibility Specialist to join our team in Port St Lucie, Florida. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of Medicaid applications and eligibility determinations for children entering out-of-home care. This position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders, including case managers, caregivers, and investigators. Responsibilities:• Compile necessary documentation to ensure complete Title IV-E determinations for children entering out-of-home care.• Enroll new Medicaid beneficiaries in the Sunshine Child Welfare Specialty Plan.• Refer eligible children to the Master Trust Specialist for Social Security benefits.• Process applications for children under agency supervision and ensure timely re-determinations.• Review, organize, and approve pre-adoption files submitted by Adoption Case Managers.• Manage adoption agreements, update placements and services, and coordinate with case managers on assignments and finalizations.• Process new Adoption Title IV-E applications efficiently and accurately.• Assist case management with eligibility documentation for adoption cases or upcoming determinations.• Address Medicaid billing inquiries and facilitate primary care physician changes for caregivers and case managers.• Submit Medicaid applications within 48 business hours of child removal into out-of-home care.

• Proven experience in insurance follow-up and preauthorization processes. • Proficiency in Medicaid eligibility and application procedures. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for documentation and data management. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to communicate effectively with case managers, caregivers, and other stakeholders. • Familiarity with Title IV-E determinations and adoption-related processes. • Experience working in child welfare or related fields is preferred. • Ability to meet tight deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
