We are looking for a dedicated Controller to join our team in Carrollton, Texas. This role is pivotal in driving financial accuracy and operational efficiency for a growing commercial concrete contractor. The ideal candidate will oversee critical accounting functions, ensuring robust financial structures and processes to support long-term organizational success.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Implement and manage job costing systems to track project expenses effectively.<br>• Maintain and optimize construction accounting practices, adhering to industry standards.<br>• Supervise month-end close procedures and ensure timely completion of financial statements.<br>• Collaborate with ownership and management to provide strategic insights and recommendations.<br>• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for cost optimization.<br>• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards within the construction industry.<br>• Develop and refine internal financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.<br>• Utilize construction accounting software to streamline processes and enhance reporting capabilities.
• Extensive experience in construction accounting, with a strong understanding of job costing practices.<br>• Proven expertise in managing financial operations for commercial construction or subcontracting projects.<br>• Proficiency in using construction accounting software to drive efficiency and accuracy.<br>• Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution in a growing organization.<br>• Exceptional organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach to financial management.<br>• Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.<br>• Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards related to construction finance.
