Medical Billing Specialist
We are looking for an experienced Medical Billing Specialist to join our team on a long-term contract basis. This role is based in Phoenix, Arizona, and offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a healthcare organization dedicated to excellence. The ideal candidate will be skilled in managing medical claims, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Investigate claim denials, identify underlying issues, and implement corrective measures to resolve them.<br>• Manage and update account information using specialized medical billing software.<br>• Ensure all billing activities adhere to healthcare regulations and industry standards.<br>• Analyze discrepancies in billing processes and develop effective solutions to address them.<br>• Collaborate with internal teams to clarify account details and submit accurate claims.<br>• Maintain comprehensive and precise records of billing activities and communications.<br>• Follow up on overdue accounts to maximize collections and reduce outstanding balances.<br>• Participate in training programs to stay updated on organizational systems and workflows.<br>• Monitor claims timelines and ensure timely processing and resolution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable and denial management within the healthcare sector.<br>• Expertise in medical billing software, including tools like Epaces.<br>• In-depth knowledge of medical billing practices, coding, and collections.<br>• Strong analytical skills to address complex billing challenges effectively.<br>• Familiarity with insurance portals and procedures for claim follow-ups.<br>• Excellent communication skills for interacting with insurance representatives and team members.<br>• Exceptional organizational abilities to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.<br>• Thorough understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance standards.
