<p><strong>Location</strong>: Philadelphia, PA – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote</p><p><strong>Duration</strong>: 6+ months</p><p><strong>Type</strong>: Contract</p><p><br></p><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We’re seeking a <strong>Senior DevOps Software Engineer</strong> to join one of our biggest clients in Philadelphia, PA.</p><p>This role is central to enabling secure, scalable, and high-performing microservices in a modern cloud infrastructure.</p><p>You’ll work closely with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to define and implement DevOps tools, frameworks, and best practices that support the full software development lifecycle.</p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Design, build, and operate DevOps tools and processes.</li><li>Develop horizontal technologies and best practices for engineering teams.</li><li>Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, source control strategies, and monitoring solutions.</li><li>Create reusable frameworks and libraries for scalable microservices.</li><li>Troubleshoot and improve system architecture with a focus on performance, security, and reliability.</li><li>Collaborate in an Agile environment, participating in daily stand-ups and iterative development.</li><li>Mentor developers and promote best-in-class engineering practices.</li></ul><p><strong>Technical Environment</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Backend</strong>: Java (SpringBoot), MongoDB</li><li><strong>Frontend</strong>: Svelte (preferred), React/Angular (acceptable)</li><li><strong>Infrastructure</strong>: AWS, Terraform, Concourse</li><li><strong>Security</strong>: SDL, audit, posture management tools</li><li><strong>Development</strong>: Agile methodology, story-based ticketing</li></ul>

<p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field (Master’s preferred)</li><li>8+ years of experience in cloud-based software engineering</li><li>Strong Java development skills (Java 1.8 preferred)</li><li>Experience with Python; Golang or NodeJS is a plus</li><li>Proven experience with AWS (EC2, S3, DynamoDB, Lambda, API Gateway, Fargate)</li><li>Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed systems</li><li>Familiarity with MongoDB and other NoSQL/relational databases</li><li>Understanding of network security and distributed architectures</li><li>Experience in Agile teams and CI/CD environments</li></ul><p><strong> Preferred Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with SpringBoot</li><li>Frontend development experience (Svelte, React, Angular)</li><li>Security background (cybersecurity, audit, posture management)</li><li>Terraform and Concourse experience</li></ul>
