We are looking for a dedicated Branch/Retail Banking Clerk to join our team in Paso Robles, California. As part of the financial services industry, you will play a vital role in ensuring efficient banking operations and excellent customer service. This is a long-term contract position, offering you the opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the success of our branch.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process a variety of customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, loan payments, and check cashing with accuracy and efficiency.<br>• Maintain and reconcile your cash drawer daily, ensuring all cash is accounted for and securely handled.<br>• Record customer transactions in the system and provide receipts promptly.<br>• Assist customers with special requests such as account closures, safe deposit box access, foreign currency exchanges, and issuing cashier’s checks.<br>• Handle wire transfers for domestic and international transactions with precision and adherence to protocols.<br>• Apply account holds for large deposits, new accounts, or exception items as needed.<br>• Uphold bank security procedures by participating in dual-control functions, performing currency audits, and certifying proof.<br>• Stay informed on compliance regulations and complete required training to ensure adherence to applicable laws.<br>• Build strong relationships with customers by providing excellent service, offering tailored products, and engaging in cross-selling opportunities.<br>• Support other branches by traveling to provide coverage when necessary.

• Experience handling cash and managing transactions in a detail-oriented environment.<br>• Knowledge of retail banking operations and procedures.<br>• Familiarity with bank deposits and transaction processes.<br>• Strong understanding of fraud prevention and risk management practices.<br>• Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive customer information.<br>• Proficiency in using banking software and systems.<br>• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for customer interaction.<br>• Willingness to travel to other branch locations, if required.
