We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. Based in Paramus, New Jersey, this role focuses on key accounting processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. If you excel in managing financial records and reconciling accounts, this position offers an exciting opportunity in the construction industry. Responsibilities:• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure proper financial tracking.• Prepare and record journal entries, including adjusting entries as needed.• Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data.• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between company records and bank statements.• Handle accruals and prepaids to maintain accurate financial records.• Oversee fixed asset accounting and ensure proper documentation.• Utilize Dynamics for financial reporting and data management.• Collaborate with internal teams to address discrepancies and improve processes.• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.

• Proven experience in month-end close procedures and general ledger management.• Strong skills in preparing journal entries and performing account reconciliations.• Proficiency in bank reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy.• Familiarity with accruals, prepaids, and fixed asset accounting.• Hands-on experience with Dynamics or similar accounting software.• Ability to prepare and manage adjusting journal entries effectively.• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.• Strong communication skills to collaborate with teams and stakeholders.
