Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a law firm in Orlando, Florida, on a contract basis. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and familiarity with civil litigation processes. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing case files, preparing legal documents, and coordinating case activities.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and accessible.<br>• Prepare and draft legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and interrogatories.<br>• Coordinate depositions, meetings with opposing counsel, and other case-related events.<br>• Communicate effectively with judicial assistants and other legal professionals to manage scheduling and case logistics.<br>• Conduct e-filing of legal documents and ensure compliance with court procedures.<br>• Assist with trial preparation, including compiling evidence and managing case materials.<br>• Manage discovery processes, including responding to and drafting requests for production.<br>• Monitor case deadlines and maintain an accurate litigation calendar.<br>• Handle billable hours and track time spent on case-related activities.<br>• Perform additional tasks as assigned to support the litigation team.
<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a litigation paralegal in a law firm setting.</p><p>• Proficiency in civil litigation processes, including discovery and trial preparation.</p><p>• Skilled in drafting legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, and interrogatories.</p><p>• Familiarity with e-filing systems and calendaring tools.</p><p>• Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple case files and deadlines.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills for coordinating with legal professionals and opposing counsel.</p><p>• Proficiency in case management software and other legal tools.</p><p>• Ability to work independently while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>Knowledge of CLIO</p>
