Paralegal
We are looking for an experienced Paralegal with a strong background in probate law to join our team on a contract basis. This position requires expertise in Florida Formal and Summary Administration and involves managing various aspects of probate cases. The role offers flexibility with part-time hours and the option to work remotely for candidates with proven skills and references.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and draft probate filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal requirements.<br>• Handle electronic filing processes and track mailings related to case management.<br>• Monitor and adhere to probate deadlines, completing associated paperwork promptly.<br>• Organize case documents and manage records related to assets and hearings.<br>• Coordinate and obtain necessary signatures for uncontested probate cases.<br>• Utilize client management software like MyCase to maintain case files and client communications.<br>• Communicate effectively with attorneys and team members using platforms such as Slack.<br>• Manage billable hours for formal probate cases and ensure timely completion of tasks.<br>• Conduct follow-ups on pending matters to ensure smooth progression of cases.<br>• Support trial preparation and other legal proceedings as needed.
<p>• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Paralegal, with a focus on probate law.</p><p>• Proficiency in handling Florida Formal and Summary Administration processes.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of probate forms and estate administration procedures.</p><p>• Experience with case management software, such as MyCase.</p><p>• Ability to manage deadlines effectively and prioritize tasks independently.</p><p>• Familiarity with electronic filing systems and tracking case-related mailings.</p><p>• Excellent organizational and communication skills.</p><p>• Comfortable using collaboration tools like Slack for team interaction.</p>
