We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Oakland, Mississippi. This long-term contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your accounting expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will excel in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining effective communication with team members.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Oversee and manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payments.<br>• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Perform detailed account reconciliations to ensure consistency and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Assist in the month-end closing procedures, including preparing reports and analyzing financial data.<br>• Utilize accounting software, including JD Oracle 9.2, to process transactions and generate reports.<br>• Create and analyze spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, incorporating pivot tables and VLOOKUP functions.<br>• Collaborate with team members to support financial audits and compliance requirements.<br>• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to address accounting-related queries.<br>• Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency within accounting operations.

Must have recent 2-3 years of accounting experience 100% on site - Oakland, Microsoft Contract to permanent - $28/hr
