We are looking for an experienced Senior Cost Accountant to join our team near Oak Brook, Illinois. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cost management and financial analysis within the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost accounting, coupled with expertise in analyzing and managing manufacturing costs. Responsibilities:• Oversee and manage rolling standards for cost accounting processes.• Conduct detailed cost analysis to ensure accurate financial reporting and budgeting.• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to evaluate and optimize production costs.• Perform job costing tasks to accurately allocate expenses and improve profitability.• Utilize Power BI tools to analyze data and provide actionable insights.• Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational policies in cost accounting practices.• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on cost trends and financial performance.• Support the divisional controller in maintaining accurate cost records and driving financial efficiency.• Identify opportunities for cost reduction and operational improvements.• Provide guidance and expertise on manufacturing cost accounting practices.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment. • Proven expertise in managing and analyzing manufacturing costs. • Strong knowledge of rolling standards and job costing practices. • Proficiency in Power BI for data analysis and reporting. • Familiarity with industry best practices in cost accounting. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve financial goals. • Effective communication skills for presenting financial data and insights.
