We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Oak Brook, Illinois. In this role, you will oversee a team responsible for key financial functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxation, and general accounting. Responsibilities:• Lead and supervise a team managing accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, taxation, and general accounting processes.• Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.• Implement and maintain effective controls to safeguard financial integrity and support organizational goals.• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize financial workflows and enhance operational efficiency.• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including tax laws and reporting requirements.• Manage the general ledger and ensure proper reconciliation of accounts.• Provide strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support business decisions.• Utilize Sage Intacct software for financial operations and reporting when applicable.• Drive improvements in the revenue cycle, particularly in healthcare billing and hospital revenue processes.• Support the organization in navigating multi-segment operations and private equity-backed structures.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. • Proven experience in a Controller or similar financial leadership role. • Familiarity with private equity-backed companies is preferred. • Experience working in multi-segment organizations is highly desirable. • Proficiency in Sage Intacct is a plus. • Strong understanding of healthcare billing and hospital revenue cycle processes. • Expertise in general ledger management and financial reporting. • Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
