						<p>We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer Consultant to join our team in Novi, Michigan. In this long-term fully onsite engagement, you will play a key part in managing supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, and overseeing procurement activities within the automotive industry. This position requires strong expertise in purchasing strategies and supplier management to ensure efficient operations.</p><p><br></p><p>The day-to-day responsibilities include: </p><p><br></p><p>• Manage supplier relationships to ensure optimal performance and adherence to agreements.</p><p>• Negotiate pricing and contracts for automotive parts and materials.</p><p>• Oversee the procurement of 100-200 parts per buyer, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.</p><p>• Maintain accurate tracking and reporting of purchasing activities.</p><p>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with program goals.</p><p>• Evaluate supplier performance and implement improvement plans as necessary.</p><p>• Conduct market analysis to identify cost-saving opportunities within assigned categories.</p><p>• Coordinate with suppliers to address issues and ensure resolution in a timely manner.</p><p>• Develop and execute purchasing plans for assigned automotive categories.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all procurement processes.</p>
					
					
						<p>The ideal candidate will have the following skillset: </p><p><br></p><p>• Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or buyer roles within the automotive industry.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of supplier management and negotiation techniques.</p><p>• Familiarity with procurement processes for automotive parts and materials.</p><p>• Proven ability to manage large volumes of parts across multiple categories.</p><p>• Excellent organizational skills to track and manage purchasing activities effectively.</p><p>• Proficiency in analyzing market trends and identifying cost-saving opportunities.</p><p>• Strong communication skills to collaborate with suppliers and internal teams.</p><p>• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively.</p>
