We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Norfolk, Virginia. Responsibilities:• Facilitate the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening candidates, and coordinating interviews.• Manage onboarding activities to ensure a seamless transition for new hires, including orientation and documentation.• Conduct regulated background checks and ensure compliance with organizational policies.• Maintain HR records and databases, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.• Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, interviews, and training sessions.• Provide administrative support to the HR team, including preparing reports and correspondence.• Collaborate with internal teams to address employee inquiries and resolve HR-related issues.• Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols, including TB screening and vaccination requirements.• Utilize HRIS systems to manage employee data and generate reports.• Support the implementation of HR initiatives and policies to enhance organizational performance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or comparable field.• Minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible Human Resources experience including full employment life cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, corrective actions, terminations, work comp, payroll, and unemployment. • Strong understanding of recruitment and onboarding processes.• Experience conducting background checks and ensuring compliance with regulations.• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.• Previous experience in long-term care, health care and/or hospitality strongly preferred.• HR Certification strongly preferred (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
