Administrative Assistant
We are looking for a skilled Administrative Assistant to support the Human Resources team within a housing association in Norfolk, Virginia. This role involves ensuring smooth day-to-day HR operations by managing administrative tasks, facilitating onboarding processes, and maintaining accurate records. As a long-term contract position, this opportunity is ideal for someone seeking stability and the chance to make a meaningful impact in an environment that values attention to detail.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.<br>• Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate departments efficiently.<br>• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in compliance with organizational standards.<br>• Coordinate onboarding activities to ensure new hires have a seamless experience.<br>• Perform data entry tasks with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Support receptionist duties, including greeting visitors and managing front desk operations.<br>• Assist in monitoring and improving operational procedures to enhance departmental performance.<br>• Track and maintain account records to ensure accuracy and accessibility.<br>• Collaborate with team members to streamline operational activities and improve efficiency.<br>• Prepare reports and presentations as needed to support HR initiatives.
• Proven experience in administrative support, preferably within an HR or office setting.<br>• Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.<br>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.<br>• Proficiency in data entry and record-keeping with a high level of accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with answering inbound calls and managing receptionist duties.<br>• Knowledge of operational procedures and performance tracking.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.<br>• Proficiency in standard office software, including word processing and spreadsheets.
