Staff Accountant
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Norfolk, Massachusetts. This role involves managing diverse accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial records, and supporting tax-related activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills and a commitment to maintaining compliance with financial regulations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and review corporate tax returns and sales tax filings to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations.<br>• Record and reconcile journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.<br>• Manage and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.<br>• Support tax-related processes, including corporate tax and sales tax calculations.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and assist in audits.<br>• Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and propose solutions.<br>• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information.<br>• Maintain knowledge of current tax laws and accounting standards to support compliance.<br>• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Proven experience in corporate tax preparation and sales tax management.<br>• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with corporate tax return processes and requirements.<br>• Proficiency in analyzing and reconciling financial data.<br>• Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining financial records.<br>• Excellent organizational and time management skills.<br>• Ability to work collaboratively with other teams and departments.<br>• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
