Accounts Payable Clerk
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Nipomo, California. This role involves managing invoice processing, coding, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of accounts payable procedures.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and compliance with company standards.<br>• Perform check runs and reconcile payments to vendor accounts.<br>• Review and verify invoice information for accuracy before posting.<br>• Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions and documentation.<br>• Communicate with vendors to resolve any discrepancies or payment issues.<br>• Ensure timely processing of payments to maintain good vendor relationships.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounts payable procedures.<br>• Assist with month-end closing tasks related to accounts payable.<br>• Monitor and adhere to company policies and procedures regarding financial transactions.<br>• Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounts payable function.
• Proven experience in accounts payable or a related financial role.<br>• Familiarity with invoice coding and processing systems.<br>• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial transactions.<br>• Ability to perform check runs and reconcile payment records.<br>• Proficiency in basic accounting principles and practices.<br>• Excellent communication skills for vendor and team collaboration.<br>• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.<br>• Knowledge of relevant software tools for accounts payable functions.
