Development Administrative Assistant
<p>We are looking for a dedicated Development Administrative Assistant to join our team in Newport, Rhode Island. This is a long-term contract position that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to various development and fundraising activities. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support and ensure the smooth operation of donor relations and event planning.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Draft and manage donor acknowledgments, appeal letters, and other communications related to development efforts.</p><p>• Maintain accurate and up-to-date donor records and databases to support fundraising activities.</p><p>• Offer administrative assistance to the Director of Advancement to ensure timely completion of tasks.</p><p>• Help organize and coordinate various fundraising events, including managing RSVPs, seating arrangements, and event logistics.</p><p>• Handle membership-related tasks such as processing renewals, addressing inquiries, and maintaining records.</p><p>• Contribute to development-related communications and perform basic data analysis to support decision-making.</p>
• Proven experience in administrative support, preferably within a development or fundraising environment.<br>• Proficiency in maintaining databases and handling data entry tasks with attention to detail.<br>• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.<br>• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with donors and team members.<br>• Customer service experience to address membership inquiries and ensure satisfaction.<br>• Familiarity with event coordination and logistics for fundraising activities.<br>• Ability to analyze data and generate insights to support development strategies.
