We are looking for an experienced Technical Accounting Manager to join our team in New York, New York. This Contract to permanent position requires a strong background in technical accounting and financial reporting, as well as proficiency in handling complex accounting issues. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and providing insights that support key business decisions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Deliver expert guidance on technical accounting matters, including but not limited to revenue recognition (ASC 606), leases (ASC 842), and business combinations (ASC 805).<br>• Conduct thorough research on emerging accounting standards and assess their impact on financial statements.<br>• Oversee critical aspects of the corporate close process and collaborate with stakeholders to finalize technical adjustments.<br>• Prepare comprehensive financial statements and supporting footnotes.<br>• Draft detailed technical accounting memos and develop accounting policies.<br>• Analyze and report on month-end close activities to ensure accuracy and compliance.<br>• Facilitate training sessions to communicate accounting policy updates to market teams.<br>• Coordinate the annual audit process, acting as a liaison between market leaders and external auditors.<br>• Generate reports from consolidation and general ledger systems to support financial operations.<br>• Advise business leaders on the implications of technical accounting guidance for acquisitions and other strategic events.

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical accounting and financial reporting.<br>• Strong expertise in month-end close processes and general ledger management.<br>• Proficiency in ASC 606, ASC 842, and other key accounting standards.<br>• Demonstrated ability to prepare financial statements and footnote disclosures.<br>• Experience with account reconciliations and journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with consolidated financial statements and corporate consolidation processes.<br>• Excellent research and analytical skills for evaluating new accounting guidance.<br>• Effective communication skills to influence business leaders and collaborate across teams.
