Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in New York, New York. As part of the retail industry, this long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee and optimize financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting, financial reporting, and team leadership.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with organizational standards.<br>• Oversee accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll processes to maintain efficient financial operations.<br>• Supervise and support a team of finance professionals, fostering growth and collaboration.<br>• Coordinate intercompany accounting activities across multiple U.S. entities.<br>• Lead month-end close procedures to ensure timely and precise financial results.<br>• Utilize Dynamics SL to streamline accounting operations and reporting.<br>• Prepare and analyze financial statements to guide decision-making and strategy.<br>• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and controls.<br>• Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance requirements within all financial activities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics SL and its application in financial processes.<br>• Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting and month-end close procedures.<br>• Solid understanding of accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll management.<br>• Experience with intercompany accounting across multiple entities.<br>• Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to supervise and develop teams.<br>• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.<br>• Familiarity with compliance standards and regulations in financial operations.<br>• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working across departments.
