Financial Project Manager
We are looking for a dedicated Financial Project Manager to join our team in New Orleans, Louisiana. In this contract position, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving effective cash management strategies. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage both high-level financial tasks and day-to-day operations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage key functions within the finance department, including accounts payable, payroll, billing, and collections.<br>• Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.<br>• Perform detailed account reconciliations and general ledger analysis to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.<br>• Implement and monitor cash flow management techniques to optimize timely billing and collections.<br>• Collaborate with the accounting team and executive leadership to support organizational financial goals.<br>• Ensure compliance with financial controls and internal policies across all operations.<br>• Prepare and analyze financial statements for both internal and external stakeholders.<br>• Serve as a resource for staff, providing guidance and support on financial processes and tasks.<br>• Identify opportunities for process improvements and enhance operational efficiency within the finance department.<br>• Coordinate with various teams to ensure seamless integration of financial strategies into broader organizational objectives.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.<br>• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management.<br>• Familiarity with large organizational structures and operations is preferred.<br>• Proven ability to manage both strategic financial planning and routine operational tasks.<br>• Strong expertise in account reconciliation, journal entries, and month-end close processes.<br>• Knowledge of sales tax reporting and expense management.<br>• Exceptional communication and leadership skills to work effectively with diverse teams.<br>• High level of integrity, reliability, and attention to detail in all aspects of financial management.
