<p>seeking an experienced <strong>Managing Attorney</strong> to oversee its bankruptcy and litigation practice areas. This leadership role offers the opportunity to manage a talented legal team, maintain a manageable caseload, and contribute to the continued development of a high-performing, client-focused culture.</p><p>The ideal candidate will bring strong legal expertise, proven leadership, and a collaborative approach to client service. This attorney will play a key role in ensuring operational excellence, maintaining strong client relationships, and mentoring attorneys and staff within the firm.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee and manage all aspects of the firm’s bankruptcy and litigation cases.</li><li>Supervise, train, and mentor attorneys and legal support staff.</li><li>Handle select cases from inception through resolution, ensuring quality and efficiency.</li><li>Maintain compliance with client scorecard standards and service-level goals.</li><li>Collaborate with firm leadership and HR on process improvements and team development.</li><li>Communicate directly with financial institution clients, providing updates and strategic guidance.</li><li>Report directly to the Managing Partner and assist in firm management initiatives.</li><li>Ensure timely completion of all legal work and contribute to firmwide performance goals.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.</li><li>Active license to practice law in Louisiana (or eligibility to waive in).</li><li>Minimum <strong>5 years of experience</strong> in bankruptcy or creditor-side litigation.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership or management experience within a law firm.</li><li>Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.</li><li>Ability to balance hands-on casework with leadership responsibilities.</li><li>Client-focused mindset with attention to accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.</li><li>Willingness to work on-site in Baton Rouge with limited travel (10–20%).</li></ul><p><br></p>
