Database Administrator
We are looking for an experienced Database Administrator to join our team in Morristown, New Jersey. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing database systems to ensure their reliability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to solving database-related challenges.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Manage and administer database systems, including creating and maintaining instances, clusters, and replicas.<br>• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups, restores, and updates to ensure data integrity.<br>• Monitor database performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.<br>• Optimize queries and indexing strategies for improved system performance.<br>• Enforce security policies and access controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with industry standards.<br>• Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies while testing disaster recovery procedures.<br>• Configure replication, failover, and clustering mechanisms to ensure high availability.<br>• Scale database resources to accommodate growing system demands.<br>• Maintain detailed documentation of database configurations and procedures, and provide training to team members on database technologies.<br>• Investigate and resolve database-related issues, collaborating with development and infrastructure teams when necessary.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.<br>• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.<br>• Strong understanding of database security, backup, and recovery processes.<br>• Excellent skills in performance tuning and query optimization.<br>• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.<br>• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.<br>• At least 5 years of proven experience as a Database Administrator managing complex systems.<br>• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely and efficient manner.
