Controller
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our team in Mooresville, North Carolina. This is a long-term contract position that requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in financial management and compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic financial decision-making.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Process daily financial transactions, including cash receipts and checkbook entries, using Excel.<br>• Perform account reconciliations for bank statements, supplier accounts, and other financial records to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.<br>• Manage accounts payable by processing non-inventory bills, preparing payments, and supporting inventory bill entries.<br>• Handle accounts receivable tasks, including issuing invoices, preparing monthly statements, and coordinating overdue debt collection with the sales team.<br>• Prepare and submit weekly cash flow forecasts to the Group Finance team to ensure accurate reporting and visibility of working capital.<br>• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and financial laws, including sales tax calculations and filings.<br>• Process payroll, including tax calculations, form submissions, and check distribution, while maintaining accurate employee benefit tracking.<br>• Input financial data into accounting software such as Sage and maintain detailed spreadsheets for reporting purposes.<br>• Assist in the transition to internet banking and modernize financial systems to reduce manual processing.<br>• Provide support for office administrative tasks and ad-hoc duties as needed.
• Proficiency in scanning and compiling financial documents.<br>• Strong skills in month-end close processes and journal entry preparation.<br>• Experience with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) management.<br>• Ability to prepare and manage detailed journal entries.<br>• Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage and advanced spreadsheet tools like Excel.<br>• Knowledge of financial compliance regulations and tax laws.<br>• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<br>• Effective communication skills for collaboration across departments.
