Staff Accountant
<p>We are looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant to join our team immediately on a 2-3 week contract basis in Monument, Colorado. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to critical financial operations, including system cleanup, reconciliations, and reporting. If you have advanced experience with QuickBooks Enterprise and a strong accounting background, we encourage you to apply.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Review, clean up, and organize the QuickBooks Enterprise system to ensure data accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.</p><p>• Perform detailed reconciliations for bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger entries, addressing discrepancies efficiently.</p><p>• Prepare accurate profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other essential financial reports to improve organizational transparency.</p><p>• Investigate and correct errors or inconsistencies in financial data to maintain integrity and compliance.</p><p>• Provide actionable recommendations to enhance accounting workflows and processes for long-term efficiency.</p><p>• Collaborate with the client’s internal team to implement best practices and support seamless financial operations.</p><p>• Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations, including sales tax and corporate tax return preparation.</p><p>• Create and post journal entries to maintain an accurate general ledger.</p>
<p>• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Enterprise, including cleanup and system organization.</p><p>• At least 5 years of accounting experience with a solid understanding of standard accounting principles.</p><p>• Expertise in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.</p><p>• Strong knowledge of corporate tax, sales tax, and tax return preparation.</p><p>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software tools.</p><p>• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial records.</p><p>• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and implement effective solutions.</p><p>• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial insights clearly.</p>
