We are looking for skilled Patient Registration Specialists to support our Emergency Department on an overnight shift for a 3-month contract position in Mission Hills, California. These roles are pivotal in ensuring patients are registered efficiently and compassionately in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities: • Welcome and assist patients arriving at the Emergency Department with professionalism and empathy. • Accurately collect and verify patient information, including demographics and insurance details. • Process co-pays and other payments, ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently. • Obtain necessary signatures and ensure all required forms are filled out properly. • Enter patient data into the hospital’s electronic health record system with precision. • Collaborate with clinical and nursing staff to maintain smooth patient flow. • Uphold confidentiality standards and adhere to hospital policies and procedures. • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients, their families, and hospital personnel.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in patient registration or admitting. • Previous hospital experience strongly preferred, especially in emergency or high-volume settings. • Proficiency in electronic health record systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or similar platforms. • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to multitask effectively and remain calm under pressure in a 24/7 environment. • Availability to work overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays as required.
