Cisco Network Engineer/Architect
<p>The Senior Network Engineer owns the architecture, design, implementation, security, and operational excellence of a global enterprise network spanning corporate offices, data centers, and cloud environments. This role ensures highly available, resilient, and scalable LAN, WAN, wireless, VPN, and network security platforms across multiple regions and time zones. Serving as a senior technical authority, the Senior Network Engineer drives global network standards, leads complex upgrades and transformations, partners with IT, security, cloud, and regional site teams, and resolves high impact issues to continuously improve performance, reliability, and security across the enterprise.</p><p><br></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><p>• Architect, design, and optimize a large-scale global network supporting multi-site operations and hybrid cloud environments, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, VPN, firewalls, and load balancing (F5 preferred).</p><p>• Maintain and improve network reliability by proactively identifying risks and implementing solutions that reduce unplanned downtime and improve performance.</p><p>• Lead complex network initiatives from concept through deployment, managing technical design, risk mitigation, and cross-functional coordination to deliver projects on time and aligned to enterprise standards.</p><p>• Strengthen network security posture by partnering with Security teams to implement hardening standards, segmentation strategies, and compliance controls.</p><p>• Diagnose and resolve high-impact incidents using advanced monitoring and observability tools, driving rapid root-cause analysis and continuous improvement.</p><p>• Execute global upgrades and lifecycle management efforts, ensuring infrastructure remains current, scalable, and aligned with evolving business needs.</p><p>• Establish and maintain documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational runbooks to support consistency and operational excellence.</p><p>• Serve as a senior escalation point while mentoring engineers and elevating technical capability across the team.</p><p><br></p><p>Basic Qualifications</p><p>• 6+ years designing and supporting enterprise-scale networks in complex, multi-region environments.</p><p>• Demonstrated expertise with routing and switching protocols such as BGP, OSPF, MPLS, and EIGRP.</p><p>• Hands-on experience with Cisco firewalls, VPN technologies, Meraki wireless, and enterprise load balancing solutions.</p><p>• Proven track record designing highly available architectures with redundancy and failover capabilities.</p><p>• Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve critical incidents and minimize business disruption.</p><p>• Excellent communication skills with experience translating technical concepts for cross-functional stakeholders.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
<p><br></p><p>• Experience supporting 24x7 global networks with measurable uptime targets.</p><p>• Background in high-availability and disaster recovery designs supporting business continuity.</p><p>• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams Telephony and video collaboration infrastructure.</p><p>• Experience with network monitoring, observability platforms, and performance tuning tools.</p><p>• Exposure to structured change management frameworks (ITIL or similar).</p><p>• Prior experience acting as a technical lead or mentoring junior engineers.</p>
