We are looking for a detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Milwaukie, Oregon. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing incoming payments and maintaining clean accounts receivable records. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with a strong focus on precision, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Post daily payments received through various channels, including credit cards, lockbox, and third-party portals.<br>• Apply finance charges and process small balance write-offs in line with company policies.<br>• Investigate and resolve unapplied or misapplied payments promptly.<br>• Manage third-party billing systems and address discrepancies effectively.<br>• Interface with internal teams and external customers to address payment application issues.<br>• Reconcile daily deposits with bank records to ensure consistency and accuracy.<br>• Contribute to month-end closing activities, including cash application and accounts receivable reconciliations.<br>• Work closely with collections and credit teams to maintain accurate account records.<br>• Participate in special projects as needed to support departmental goals.

• At least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable, cash application, or related financial roles.<br>• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational capabilities.<br>• Proven ability to perform high-volume data entry tasks with accuracy.<br>• Familiarity with accounting systems or software such as CyberSource, Epic Software, or other related tools is preferred.<br>• Exceptional communication skills and a customer-focused approach.<br>• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.<br>• Knowledge of accounting functions, including ACH and billing processes, is advantageous.
