We are looking for a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team on a contract basis in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This position focuses on managing full-cycle payroll processes and ensuring accuracy and compliance during a critical period. As a contract role, it offers the opportunity to contribute to essential payroll functions while supporting system transitions and year-end activities. Responsibilities: • Execute full-cycle payroll operations across multiple states, ensuring timely and accurate processing. • Collaborate on year-end preparations, including the validation and review of W-2 documentation. • Support payroll system conversions by conducting data validation, parallel testing, and resolving discrepancies. • Audit and review payroll data for compliance and consistency with federal, state, and local regulations. • Address payroll discrepancies and perform necessary adjustments or corrections. • Work closely with HR and Finance teams to manage employee lifecycle changes, tax deductions, garnishments, and other payroll-related matters. • Ensure adherence to payroll laws and regulations at all levels. • Maintain accurate payroll documentation and contribute to strengthening internal controls.

• Demonstrated expertise in full-cycle payroll processing in a multi-state environment. • Proficiency with enterprise payroll systems, such as Dayforce and UKG Pro. • Familiarity with payroll management for organizations with over 500 employees. • Experience with payroll system conversions or implementations is highly preferred. • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local payroll regulations. • Ability to work effectively in time-sensitive situations with minimal supervision. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Previous experience with ADP Workforce Now is a plus.
