Mailroom Assistant
We are looking for a dedicated Mailroom Assistant to join our team in Milford, New Hampshire. This is a contract position offering an opportunity to contribute to our services by supporting efficient mail-handling operations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a repetitive, detail-oriented environment while meeting production goals and maintaining quality standards.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Open and scan incoming mail from nonprofit organizations with accuracy and efficiency.<br>• Sort checks and cash donations into appropriate categories based on donor companies.<br>• Learn and operate a mail-opening machine with on-the-job training provided.<br>• Report mail discrepancies and equipment issues promptly to the supervisor.<br>• Maintain precise counts of processed mail and submit daily reports to management.<br>• Ensure production targets are met while adhering to quality and client deadlines.<br>• Collaborate with team members to uphold operational standards and commitments.<br>• Perform light lifting tasks, up to 30 lbs, as required during the shift.<br>• Support the overall mailroom workflow with attention to detail and consistency.
• Proficiency in English, including speaking, reading, and writing.<br>• Ability to adapt between working independently and as part of a team.<br>• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.<br>• Physical capability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 30 lbs.<br>• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.<br>• Comfortable dressing appropriately for a focused and organized environment.<br>• Willingness to learn and operate mail-processing equipment.<br>• Previous mailroom or similar experience is a plus but not mandatory.
