Loan Processor - Support
<p>About the Opportunity</p><p>A growing financial services organization in the Meriden area is seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Loan Processor Support</strong> professional to join its team. This position plays a key role in supporting the loan processing function by ensuring documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in a timely manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Assist loan processors with collecting, reviewing, and organizing loan documentation</li><li>Verify applicant information and ensure files are complete prior to underwriting review</li><li>Enter and maintain accurate data within loan processing systems</li><li>Communicate with borrowers, lenders, and third parties regarding outstanding documentation and loan status updates</li><li>Monitor loan files to ensure compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements</li><li>Track deadlines and follow up on required documents to facilitate timely loan closings</li><li>Prepare and distribute correspondence related to loan applications</li><li>Maintain electronic and physical loan files in an organized manner</li><li>Provide administrative support to the lending and processing teams as needed</li></ul><p><br></p>
<p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred</li><li>1+ years of administrative, banking, mortgage, lending, or financial services experience preferred</li><li>Strong attention to detail and accuracy</li><li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Outlook</li><li>Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Strong customer service and problem-solving skills</li><li>Experience working with loan processing systems is a plus</li></ul><p>Preferred Skills</p><ul><li>Knowledge of mortgage or consumer lending processes</li><li>Ability to review financial and supporting documentation</li><li>Strong organizational and follow-up skills</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment</li></ul><p><br></p>
