Loan Processor - Support
<p>About the Role</p><p>Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented <strong>Loan Processor</strong> for a contract opportunity with a growing financial services company in Meriden, Connecticut. This position is ideal for a professional with strong organizational skills and experience supporting the loan origination process from application through closing.</p><p>The Loan Processor will work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and clients to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and processed efficiently while maintaining compliance with company and regulatory requirements.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Review loan applications and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy</li><li>Gather, verify, and organize required borrower documentation, including income, asset, and credit information</li><li>Communicate with applicants, loan officers, underwriters, and third-party vendors to obtain outstanding information</li><li>Order and track appraisals, title reports, verification documents, and other required items</li><li>Maintain and update loan files throughout the processing cycle</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations</li><li>Submit completed loan packages to underwriting for review</li><li>Monitor loan pipelines and follow up on outstanding conditions</li><li>Assist with preparing files for closing and funding</li><li>Provide exceptional customer service throughout the loan process</li></ul>
<p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate&#39;s or Bachelor&#39;s degree preferred</li><li>2+ years of loan processing, mortgage processing, banking, or financial services experience</li><li>Knowledge of lending procedures and loan documentation requirements</li><li>Strong attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Outlook</li><li>Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously</li><li>Excellent communication and customer service skills</li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information</li></ul><p>Preferred Qualifications</p><ul><li>Experience working in a mortgage, banking, credit union, or financial services environment</li><li>Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS)</li><li>Understanding of underwriting guidelines and loan compliance requirements</li><li>Experience processing residential or consumer loans</li></ul><p>Schedule</p><ul><li>Full-time, Monday through Friday</li><li>Standard business hours</li><li>Contract assignment with potential for extension based on business needs</li></ul><p>Why Work with Robert Half?</p><p>Robert Half connects skilled professionals with rewarding opportunities at leading organizations.
