We are looking for a dedicated Dispatcher to join our Campus Safety team in Memphis, Tennessee. This is a Contract position. The role involves managing dispatch operations across varied shifts and supporting the department. The shift is Wed-Thurs 3pm-11pm, Friday 12pm-8pm, and Saturday-Sunday 7am-3pm. Responsibilities:• Oversee the parking program by issuing parking decals, updating parking information, and managing appeals.• Maintain departmental equipment and supplies, ensuring their proper care and functionality.• Complete and manage required documentation in alignment with the Safety Operations Manual and Handbook, including operations notes, data entry, and computer-aided dispatch.• Handle emergency, crisis, and routine communication via 911 and radio in compliance with policies and legal regulations.• Participate in skill-building activities such as workshops, in-service meetings, and annual Security Authority training.• Monitor the Safety office for unusual conditions, alarms, and incoming calls, ensuring constant vigilance.• Fulfill responsibilities as essential personnel, including attendance during inclement weather or closures.• Ensure regular and punctual attendance to maintain efficient and reliable department operations.• Perform additional duties as assigned to meet department needs.

• Previous experience in dispatching or call center customer service. • Proficiency in computer-aided dispatch systems and data entry. • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate logistics effectively. • Ability to manage emergency situations calmly and accurately. • Familiarity with campus safety procedures and regulations is preferred. • Commitment to confidentiality and attention to detail in handling sensitive information. • Availability to work varied shifts, including weekends. • Reliability and punctuality as essential functions of the role.
