The ideal candidate will support the ongoing maturation of cloud operations—focusing on security, automation, governance, and scalable infrastructure within a highly regulated environment.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p><p>As a Cloud Engineer, you will build, optimize, and maintain Azure cloud services that meet strict security and compliance standards. You will work closely with infrastructure, security, and application teams to ensure a resilient, well‑governed cloud environment that supports enterprise growth. This role is a contract with potential for permanent placement with the client in the future.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li>Deploy, configure, and manage Azure resources using <strong>ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep</strong></li><li>Enhance and support Azure networking components, including <strong>VNets, NSGs, firewalls, APIM, and routing</strong></li><li>Strengthen cloud security posture through <strong>IAM configuration, MFA/conditional access</strong>, policy enforcement, and adherence to financial‑industry compliance requirements</li><li>Implement <strong>cost‑optimization strategies</strong>, tagging standards, and monitoring enhancements</li><li>Troubleshoot and resolve issues across cloud infrastructure, networking, and production workloads</li><li>Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams on <strong>cloud governance</strong>, standards, and best practices</li><li>Contribute to continuous improvement across automation, observability, and platform reliability</li></ul>

<p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><strong>3+ years</strong> of hands-on Azure cloud engineering experience</li><li>Strong experience with <strong>infrastructure-as-code</strong> (Terraform, ARM, Bicep, or Ansible)</li><li>Experience with monitoring tools such as <strong>Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, or Datadog</strong></li><li>Solid understanding of <strong>identity and access security</strong> within Azure (AAD, RBAC, conditional access)</li><li>Ability to support regulated environments with a focus on security, compliance, and documentation</li><li><strong>Financial services industry experience preferred</strong>, but not required</li></ul><p><br></p>
