We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Director of Development to join our team in the gretaer Marlborough MA area. In this role, you will lead fundraising initiatives, manage grant efforts, and collaborate on marketing strategies to support the organization's mission and vision. As a key spokesperson, you will represent the organization in the community, ensuring strong relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders. Responsibilities:• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to secure financial support for organizational programs and initiatives.• Identify and pursue new funding opportunities, including grants, donations, and sponsorships, while maintaining relationships with existing donors.• Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create promotional materials and publicity efforts for organizational events and programs.• Coordinate special events such as community functions, annual meetings, and site-specific initiatives to engage stakeholders and donors.• Prepare and present detailed reports on fundraising activities, budgets, and outcomes for review by the Board of Directors.• Work closely with the grants team to manage prospecting, applications, and reporting processes for grant opportunities.• Represent the organization at community events, speaking engagements, and business functions to promote its mission and services.• Oversee the development and distribution of donor newsletters and annual appeals to maintain engagement and support.• Maintain positive relationships with volunteer groups and coordinate recognition events to acknowledge their contributions.• Partner with staff members to identify and package programs for philanthropic support and donor engagement. • Bachelor’s degree required; a Master’s degree is highly desirable.• Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in fundraising, grant management, and leadership roles.• Proven expertise in donor database management and advanced proficiency in Office suite applications.• Strong knowledge of hands-on fundraising strategies, event planning, and grant prospecting.• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a detail-oriented approach.• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors, volunteers, and community stakeholders.• Experience in marketing and event coordination to support organizational goals.• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines effectively.
