Defense Attorney
We are looking for an experienced Defense Attorney to join a thriving legal team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in various defense practices and an established book of business. As a key member of the firm, you will contribute to its expanding community presence and help drive continued growth.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Represent clients in cases involving workers’ compensation defense, medical malpractice defense, general liability, and commercial litigation.<br>• Develop legal strategies and provide counsel to clients based on case specifics.<br>• Draft motions, briefs, and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail.<br>• Conduct thorough discovery processes to gather and analyze evidence.<br>• Collaborate with colleagues to prepare for hearings, trials, and negotiations.<br>• Maintain and expand your existing book of business while fostering strong client relationships.<br>• Stay informed on changes in laws and regulations relevant to defense litigation.<br>• Advocate for clients in court proceedings, ensuring their interests are effectively represented.<br>• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.<br>• Contribute to the firm’s growth by actively participating in community initiatives and networking.
<p>• Must be a licensed attorney, who has passed the bar, and eligible to practice law in the state of Kentucky.</p><p>• Proven experience in civil litigation with a focus on defense cases.</p><p>• Strong skills in drafting motions, briefs, and other legal documentation.</p><p>• Expertise in discovery processes, including evidence gathering and analysis.</p><p>• Ability to develop effective legal strategies and provide sound advice to clients.</p><p>• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to represent clients effectively.</p><p>• Demonstrated ability to manage a caseload and meet deadlines consistently.</p><p>• Existing book of business with established client relationships is required.</p>
