<p>Prepares documentation and electronic data for timely and accurate filing of import customs entries. Working with our customers and customs authorities to make certain that shipments are released and that all necessary activities are conducted in compliance with customs regulations. </p><p> </p><p><strong><u>Essential Duties And Responsibilities</u></strong></p><p> </p><p>·      Process timely ISF no later than 24 hours before vessel departure (if applicable).</p><p>·      Obtain and/or confirm all required import documentation.</p><p>·      Surrender OBL and charges (if applicable).</p><p>·      Assist clients with classification and/or valuation and properly rate commercial invoices.</p><p>·      Process Customs entries within the KPI requirement, ensure Customs release and update file notes. Minimum file count 75 entries monthly.</p><p>·      Ensure OGA clearance, coordinate exams/sampling and monitor timeframes when FDA detained and ensure FDA refusals are properly and timely handled (if applicable).</p><p>·      Maintain day-to-day contact with customers for status updates.</p><p>·      Issue delivery orders and follow up on POD’s.</p><p>·      Process billing invoice within 24 hours of ABI transmission.</p><p>·      Collect COD payments prior to release of delivery orders (if applicable).</p><p>·      Push sales of Marine Cargo, Bonds Insurance, freight forwarding and warehouse distribution services.</p><p>·      Assist customers with maximum utilization of WOC tools – event notification, website tracking, etc.</p>

<p>·      Five plus (5) years’ experience in Customs Brokerage to successfully perform this job.</p><p>·      Customs Broker License preferred, but not required </p><p>·      Experience with CargoWise software preferred, but not required</p><p>·      Willingness to learn the CFR 19 and the US Harmonized Tariff Schedule </p><p>·      Capable of working independently and as a team player</p><p>·      Excellent customer service attitude and communication skills</p><p>·      Good knowledge of the English language, verbally and in writing</p><p>·      Good typing skills 45 wpm or better</p><p>·      Ability to maintain a high level of productivity</p><p>·      Ability to prioritize tasks as needed throughout the day</p><p>·      Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate and recognize potential problems</p>
