Grant Accountant
<p>A Hospital system is currently seeking a highly skilled Grant Accountant to join the team. The Grant Accountant will be tasked with overseeing and managing all financial aspects of grant funding. This will include maintaining ledgers and financial records, preparing statements, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Grant Accountant will play a crucial role in the team will be ensuring that our hospital's financial operations run smoothly and transparently.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Manage all aspects of grant accounting from budget set up to final report preparation.</li><li>Review grant proposals and contracts for financial clarity and fiscal soundness.</li><li>Prepare regular financial statements and reports related to grant funds.</li><li>Maintain and update accurate records in the financial system for grant revenues and expenses.</li><li>Coordinate with internal and external auditors.</li><li>Ensure compliance with the audit requirements.</li><li>Collaborate with other departments as necessary to oversee the full grant lifecycle.</li><li>Reconcile grant accounts monthly and prepare reports for management.</li></ul><p><br></p>
<ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.</li><li>3+ years of experience in grant management and fund accounting, preferably within a nonprofit setting.</li><li>Knowledge of Federal, State, and local grant regulations.</li><li>Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.</li><li>Ability to handle multiple assignments, meet deadlines and work as part of a team.</li><li>High integrity and a strong work ethic.</li></ul><p><br></p>
