Proofreader
We are looking for a skilled Proofreader to join our team on a contract basis in Long Beach, California. In this role, you will ensure the accuracy and clarity of various marketing materials, ranging from brochures and websites to social media content. This position requires a keen eye for detail and proficiency in industry-standard tools and styles.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Review and edit marketing materials such as brochures, websites, and social media posts for accuracy and consistency.<br>• Ensure content adheres to AP Style guidelines and maintains a high standard of quality.<br>• Utilize Adobe Acrobat and other tools to proof and finalize documents.<br>• Collaborate with the creative team to maintain brand voice and messaging.<br>• Conduct thorough proofreading to identify and correct grammatical, spelling, and typographical errors.<br>• Test content functionality across multiple platforms, ensuring seamless user experience.<br>• Manage case files and track revisions to ensure timely delivery of projects.<br>• Provide feedback to writers and designers to enhance overall content quality.<br>• Monitor and maintain high standards for all published content.<br>• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve processes.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in proofreading or copy editing.<br>• Strong command of AP Style and grammatical rules.<br>• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and other editing tools.<br>• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.<br>• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines.<br>• Familiarity with marketing materials, including websites and social media content.<br>• Strong communication skills for providing constructive feedback.<br>• Tech-savvy with the ability to test and review content across digital platforms.
