Mailroom Assistant
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Mailroom Assistant to join our team in Lincoln, Rhode Island. This long-term contract position involves independently managing mail-related tasks and ensuring smooth operations in a setting that values attention to detail. The role requires proactive communication, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work autonomously.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Receive and organize incoming mail, including legal documents, while carefully distinguishing between important items and junk mail.<br>• Ensure regular attendance and maintain punctuality to meet daily operational needs.<br>• Visit FedEx offices three times a week to handle shipping tasks, requiring dependable transportation.<br>• Communicate effectively with mail carriers, process servers, and law enforcement personnel as needed.<br>• Prepare and ship mail loads to designated processing centers on a consistent schedule.<br>• Work independently in the office and manage responsibilities without direct supervision.<br>• Complete one day of virtual training to familiarize yourself with procedures and requirements.
• Strong attention to detail to accurately process and differentiate mail.<br>• Reliable transportation to meet delivery and shipping obligations.<br>• Ability to work independently and maintain productivity without supervision.<br>• Effective communication skills to interact with personnel and external contacts.<br>• Basic customer service experience to handle inquiries professionally.<br>• Proficiency in data entry for record-keeping and documentation.<br>• Comfortable managing deliveries and logistics in a timely manner.
