Tax Manager - Public
We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This role involves overseeing critical tax functions, managing client relationships, and ensuring the accurate preparation of financial statements. You will play an integral part in guiding clients through complex tax matters while maintaining compliance with industry regulations.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Supervise the preparation of financial statements and ensure accuracy in bookkeeping processes.<br>• Oversee the preparation and review of tax returns, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.<br>• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing expert guidance on tax-related matters.<br>• Identify opportunities for clients to improve financial outcomes through effective tax strategies.<br>• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting software to manage financial data efficiently.<br>• Ensure that all tax filings and payments are completed accurately and on time.<br>• Collaborate with team members to implement best practices in tax and financial management.<br>• Provide mentorship and leadership to entry-level staff, fostering their growth and development.<br>• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to provide timely and accurate advice.<br>• Assist with entity formation and provide consultation on corporate tax matters.
• Active CPA license is required.<br>• At least 7 years of experience in public accounting with a strong focus on tax.<br>• Expertise in preparing and reviewing financial statements.<br>• Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.<br>• Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software tools.<br>• Strong knowledge of corporate and sales tax regulations, including experience with CCH ProSystem Fx.<br>• Familiarity with annual income tax provisions and corporate tax return preparation.<br>• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
