The role involves handling high-volume authorizations, insurance claims, and patient communications, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all billing processes. Responsibilities: • Process medical claims and ensure all billing activities comply with established policies and procedures. • Verify patient insurance benefits online and obtain necessary authorizations for services. • Conduct follow-ups with insurance companies to resolve denied claims and ensure timely reimbursements. • Communicate with patients regarding copays, deposits, and payment arrangements, maintaining professionalism and empathy. • Record and process payments within the system, ensuring accurate documentation. • Collaborate with a team of billing professionals to meet departmental goals and deadlines. • Utilize medical coding knowledge to accurately input data and avoid errors. • Manage a high volume of authorizations with a proactive and organized approach. • Stay updated on industry trends and insurance company policies to improve efficiency. • Assist in maintaining a positive and productive office environment.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical billing or a related field. • Familiarity with medical codes, terminology, and billing practices. • Strong ability to navigate online systems for benefit verification and authorization processes. • Experience working with insurance companies, including resolving denied claims. • Proficiency in handling patient communications regarding payments and billing inquiries. • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining focus on individual responsibilities. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage high volumes of claims and authorizations. • Comfortable wearing scrubs, with light blue teal or navy blue preferred.
