<p>We are looking for a skilled Database Developer to join our client's team on a contract basis in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will focus on designing, optimizing, and maintaining cloud-based databases within the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. Your expertise will ensure the seamless operation of data systems that support critical business applications, including retail and eCommerce platforms.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Design, implement, and manage Azure SQL Databases, Azure Synapse Analytics, and other Azure data services to support enterprise applications.</p><p>• Create and maintain efficient data pipelines that integrate information across retail, eCommerce, and inventory management systems.</p><p>• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and partitioning techniques.</p><p>• Implement robust security measures, including encryption and access controls, while adhering to data governance and compliance standards.</p><p>• Collaborate with application developers to ensure data solutions are scalable and efficient.</p><p>• Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and maintain high availability with minimal downtime.</p><p>• Partner with business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that enhance forecasting, reporting, and analytics for retail operations.</p><p>• Support cloud migration initiatives by transitioning legacy databases into the Azure environment.</p><p>• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and ensure continuity for mission-critical systems.</p>

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.<br>• Proven experience in database engineering or administration, with a specialization in Azure-based systems.<br>• Expertise in Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Factory.<br>• Strong skills in database performance tuning, data security, and access management.<br>• Proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and scripting languages like PowerShell or Python.<br>• Experience with retail data systems, including eCommerce platforms and supply chain tools (preferred).<br>• Familiarity with DevOps practices, such as CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform or Bicep.<br>• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
