We are looking for a skilled Dispatcher to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. In this position, you will play a vital role in coordinating transportation operations and ensuring effective communication between drivers, schools, and customers. This role requires excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple communication channels simultaneously. Must be able to work a split schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 9am and then again from 1pm - 5pm Responsibilities:• Coordinate and dispatch transportation services to meet schedules and customer needs.• Communicate with drivers, schools, and customers using two-way radios and multi-line phone systems.• Monitor and track vehicle locations to ensure timely arrivals and departures.• Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly to provide excellent service.• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and transportation schedules.• Collaborate with team members to resolve operational issues efficiently.• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.• Adapt to changing priorities and schedules in a fast-paced environment.• Provide support during emergencies or unexpected delays.• Assist in optimizing routes to enhance operational efficiency.

• Proven experience in dispatching or a similar role. • Strong customer service skills with a detail-oriented approach. • Familiarity with public school transportation systems is preferred. • Proficiency in using multi-line phone systems and two-way radios. • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively. • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. • Knowledge of safety protocols and transportation regulations. • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills.
