<p>We are looking for a dedicated Dispatcher to join our team in Lansing, Michigan. This is a Contract-to-permanent position within the transportation industry, offering the opportunity to grow and make a meaningful impact. The ideal candidate will excel in coordinating communication and ensuring smooth operations, while delivering exceptional customer service. This role is 100% onsite, M-F. between 6am and 5pm.</p><p><br></p><p>Responsibilities:</p><p>• Coordinate and manage dispatch schedules to ensure timely and efficient transportation operations.</p><p>• Utilize a two-way radio and multi-line phone system to communicate with drivers and other staff.</p><p>• Respond promptly to inquiries and requests from customers, offering excellent service and support.</p><p>• Monitor transportation routes and adjust plans as needed to address delays or changes.</p><p>• Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and ensure compliance with company protocols.</p><p>• Collaborate with public school representatives to coordinate transportation needs.</p><p>• Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues to ensure seamless service delivery.</p><p>• Communicate updates and instructions clearly to drivers and other team members.</p><p>• Assist in handling emergencies or unforeseen incidents in a calm and effective manner.</p><p>• Foster positive working relationships with drivers, customers, and other stakeholders.</p>

• Proven experience in dispatching or a similar role, preferably within the transportation industry.<br>• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.<br>• Familiarity with public school transportation operations is highly desirable.<br>• Proficiency in operating multi-line phone systems and two-way radios.<br>• Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills to manage dynamic situations.<br>• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergencies effectively.<br>• Detail-oriented with the capability to maintain accurate records and follow protocols.<br>• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and clients.
