We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our software company in Lafayette, Colorado. In this role, you will oversee key accounting operations, manage a small team, and contribute to financial planning and compliance efforts. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in public accounting and SaaS who excel in dynamic environments. Responsibilities: • Manage monthly close processes to ensure all financial records are accurate and completed in a timely manner. • Supervise and mentor a team of two direct reports, fostering attention to detail, growth, and development. • Assist in the preparation, analysis, and review of budgets and financial forecasts. • Oversee daily accounting functions, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to best practices. • Coordinate with external auditors to support audit preparation and ensure compliance. • Handle sales tax filings and compliance requirements using Avalara. • Identify and implement opportunities for automation and process improvements. • Ensure accurate reporting of subscription revenue and related accounting processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain inventory management and financial accuracy. • Maintain adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies in all accounting activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with public accounting experience strongly preferred. • Familiarity with SaaS industry practices, particularly subscription revenue models, is highly desired. • Proficiency in handling month-end close processes, general ledger management, and account reconciliations. • Experience with financial audits and direct interaction with external auditors. • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage and motivate a team. • Knowledge of sales tax compliance processes and tools such as Avalara. • Experience with inventory management and financial reporting is a plus.
