Desktop/Network Support Analyst
We are looking for a skilled Desktop/Network Support Analyst to join our team on a contract basis in Ladson, South Carolina. In this role, you will play a key part in managing and maintaining local area networks, ensuring seamless operations and providing essential support to users. This position is ideal for someone with expertise in hardware, software, and network troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Configure, install, and maintain local area network hardware, software, and telecommunications services, including personal computers, servers, routers, switches, and printers.<br>• Develop and enforce policies and procedures for network security, usage, support, and backup.<br>• Manage user accounts, permissions, and security protocols to ensure secure access to the network.<br>• Provide training to users on software applications, equipment, and network systems.<br>• Address and resolve network user issues related to software and hardware operations.<br>• Create and implement standards for network operations, security, and personal computer usage.<br>• Collaborate with other departments to identify and resolve technical issues effectively.<br>• Research and assess emerging technologies to recommend improvements or upgrades.<br>• Coordinate with vendors for hardware, software, and support services, including negotiating contracts.<br>• Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure system reliability in case of emergencies.
• Proficiency in computer hardware and desktop system maintenance.<br>• Familiarity with Active Directory for managing user accounts and permissions.<br>• Solid understanding of basic network troubleshooting techniques.<br>• Certification in CompTIA Network+ or equivalent is preferred.<br>• Experience with desktop imaging and hardware installation.<br>• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across departments.<br>• Knowledge of policies and procedures for IT security and disaster recovery.<br>• Ability to train users on systems and software effectively.
