Logistics Specialist 4
We are looking for an experienced Logistics Specialist to join our team in Kansas City, Kansas. This position focuses on managing export documentation and ensuring compliance with international trade regulations to support global supply chain operations. As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate shipments. This is a long-term contract role offering stability and the opportunity to contribute to critical international logistics functions.<br><br>Responsibilities:<br>• Prepare and verify export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and export declarations.<br>• Ensure adherence to U.S. and international export regulations, including filing requirements and compliance standards.<br>• Coordinate with logistics providers, customs brokers, and internal teams to facilitate efficient and compliant shipments.<br>• Maintain detailed records of export transactions for audit purposes and reporting needs.<br>• Monitor shipment progress and address any documentation-related delays or discrepancies.<br>• Assist in internal audits and implement corrective actions to enhance documentation processes.<br>• Work closely with supply chain, customer service, and compliance teams to align shipment documentation with regulatory and contractual requirements.<br>• Stay informed about updates to export regulations and documentation practices in key markets.<br>• Utilize ERP systems and export platforms to streamline documentation workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, International Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.<br>• Minimum of 3 years of experience in export documentation, international logistics, or trade compliance.<br>• Strong understanding of Incoterms, export controls, and global shipping procedures.<br>• Proficiency in ERP systems, such as SAP R/3, and export documentation platforms.<br>• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.<br>• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.<br>• Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.<br>• Knowledge of international trade laws and regulatory requirements.
